Visit Our Station
Located in the heart of downtown Pottsville, the Pottsville Fire Company proudly stands in the foreground of the Schuylkill County Courthouse—a place where tradition, service, and community come together every day.
We welcome visitors to stop by and experience what makes our firehouse the Downtown Powerhouse. From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll feel the pride and history that define our company. Explore our history tower, where generations of service are remembered and honored, and see how our roots continue to shape who we are today.
Take a look at our classic fire pole, a timeless symbol of the fire service that still captures the imagination of visitors young and old. It’s a reminder of the traditions we carry forward while continuing to evolve with modern firefighting.
You’ll also get an up-close look at our frontline apparatus, including our tractor-drawn aerial, two engines, utility, UTV, and our 1953 antique Seagrave engine—the tools our members rely on to protect Pottsville every single day. Whether it’s your first time seeing a fire truck or you’ve loved them your whole life, there’s something special about standing next to the real thing.
More than anything, a visit to our station is about the people. Our members are proud to serve this community, and we’re always happy to share stories, answer questions, and give you a glimpse into what it means to be part of the fire service.
Visitors are welcome whenever members are present at the station. For a more in-depth experience, guided tours and scheduled visits can be arranged by emailing us at contactus@pottsvillefireco.com.
Stop by, say hello, and see what makes our house your firehouse—we’d love to show you around!
